Direct Support for Capacity Building



NRT provides direct support for capacity building projects initiated collaboratively by three or more First Nation communities in British Columbia (BC).

NRT has allocated a total of $750,000 for this initiative in the 2008/09 fiscal year.  A maximum of $50,000 per project; with support for up to 75% of project costs (proponents must contribute the other 25%).

Deadline: Applications will be accepted beginning immediately and will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis.  There is no closing deadline; funds will be awarded until project funding is exhausted.

Policy Development


NRT provides policy development for First Nation organizations that operate at provincial and regional levels and that directly impact/benefit local First Nations and their communities in British Columbia (BC).

NRT has allocated a total of $500,000 for this initiative in the 2008/09 fiscal year.  A maximum of $50,000 per project is available; with support for up to 75% of project costs (proponents must contribute the other 25%).

Deadline:  Applications will be accepted beginning on October 1, 2008 and will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis.  There is no closing deadline; funds will be awarded until project funding is exhausted.
