priorities of the trustThe New Relationship Trust supports programs in five areas: Education, Capacity Building, Culture & Language, Youth & Elders, and Economic Development. These program areas reflect the priorities of our First Nation communities, as determined during an extensive community engagement process.

Our Education Programs are intended to encourage First Nation youth to pursue higher education, as well as to help communities to implement local education initiatives for high school youth. Read more.

Capacity Programs are intended to help build capacity within First Nations communities so they can effectively participate in and benefit from land-use planning, resource revenue-sharing, and economic development opportunities. Read more..

Culture & Language Programs are designed to preserve our First Nation languages and increase the number of trained teachers of those languages. Details coming soon.

Youth & Elders Programs are focused on supporting provincial organizations that serve and support our First Nation youth and elders. Read more.

Economic Development support is focused on the creation of a province-wide strategic direction for our First Nation communities to further their individual and collective economic development goals. Details coming soon.
